Robin Redick: DMin, MDiv, MBA, BA

    Founder and Pastoring Elder

Robin was ordained to ministry by the Southern Baptist Convention. He earned a Masters of Divinity degree and a Doctor of Divinity degree from Luther Rice College and Seminary.

Before starting Basics as a non-denominational church community, Robin served SBC churches for fifteen years in such roles as Pastor, Associate Pastor, Marriage and Relationships Pastor, Groups Pastor, and Student Pastor.

Robin has always pastored bi-vocationally or voluntarily, providing for his family by serving as a training and development manager for Hewett Packard Enterprise. He earned a Masters of Business Administration from Georgia State University.

Additionally, Robin developed and led a Martial Arts sports and community service ministry and serves as a volunteer leader for Waymark foster ministries.

Prior to ministry ordination, Robin served churches in many volunteer roles, including deacon, adult life group teacher, children’s church teacher, and greeter.

Robin believes that a biblical church is not a building where people go to be spectators for stage performances from stages. It is a gathering of Jesus followers for building each other up in faith, truth and love to elevate excellence and godliness in their homes, friendships, schools, and workplaces.

He believes that Jesus is willing to meet people where they are and guide them toward a meaningful life that benefits others.

Claire Redick: MA (English), BA (English)

    Co-founder and Teacher

Claire has served churches for many years as finance administrator, student ministry coordinator and teacher, and children’s ministry teacher.

She currently serves as activities coordinator for Mission 1:27, a community enrichment ministry whose mission is “to serve people, glorify God, and see lives transformed in loving obedience to James 1:27”.

Claire is an avid reader and hiker.

Robin and Claire Redick have been married for 26 years and have two children.

Together, they regularly offer free community “relationship-oriented” workshops like marriage enrichment, navigating friendships and dating relationships, parenting, and leading yourself and others with a mindset of serving Jesus.

    John Bryant: BFA (Theater)

    Teacher

John was born and raised in Salem, Oregon and spent his childhood acting in theater from fifth grade all the way through high school. After graduating, he continued his acting goals by completing a Bachelor of Fine Arts at Western Oregon University in Monmouth, Oregon.

One of John’s favorite verses, believe it or not, is John 3:16, not only due to its reminder of what God has done for us but because of the date John was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes: 3/16/22.

Though this was a hard situation upon discovery, God’s timing and faithfulness helped John overcome this obstacle and kept reminding John how present God is in our lives!

    Brianne Bryant: MBA (Business Administration)

    Teacher and Worship Leader

Brianne grew up in Boise, Idaho. She focused heavily on music–taking piano and guitar lessons as well as singing in multiple choirs. When she graduated from high school, she continued into a Bachelor’s in Business at Western Oregon University.

Brianne and John were married in 2021 and share a little dog named Cooper. She was baptized in 2022.

Brianne works in the finance industry, conducting fraud/money laundering investigations. She can usually be found reading in her spare time. Her favorite hymn is “In the Garden” and her life verse is Luke 12:24.

In ministry, Brianne has served in multiple positions, advising on social media, facilitating a life group for newly married couples, and serving as a worship leader.
