Welcome to BASICS.
WHO WE ARE
BASICS exists for people who’ve been hurt or disillusioned — by life, by others, or by a church experience that looked nothing like Jesus. We’re a simple, judgment-free faith community where you can find real healing, discover (or rediscover) who God says you are, and move forward in the good life He planned for you long before you were born.
No hierarchy. No performance.
No one profiting off your pain.
Just honest people — all equals — following Jesus and God’s Word together.
And here’s what still amazes us: healing doesn’t just change you. It changes the ground around you. Where thorns of hurt once grew, trees begin to grow and replace them — and those trees become a gift to everyone in your life.
That’s what we’re here for.

We share a meal while gathering because throughout the Bible, sharing a table meant one thing: you belong here, like family. When you gather with us, you are not a customer or a passive observer. A chair has been pulled up specifically for you.

We see people for who they are today and the potential Christ is forming in them — not their past, not their wounds.

We believe God Word’s has truth and wisdom for life, so we don’t try to make Scripture fit our agendas or leave out inconvenient parts. Instead, we explore the whole Bible, in context, learning how to follow Jesus well.
