Basic g5.6 is about Jesus, faith, hope, and love instead of religion.

Church isn’t where you go. It’s who you become.

“You are God’s poem, born on purpose for good purposes in Christ Jesus.” Ephesians 2:10

Welcome to the BASICS of following Jesus!

We’re a Christian community for removing barriers between people and the Lord—Savior—Redeemer, Jesus Christ.

That includes self-condemnation over past behavior or concerns about fitting in.

It also includes past hurts from religious authority figures or negative encounters with prideful and unfriendly church environments, hypocrisy, power hierarchies, religion businesses, or any other church experience that didn’t align with the truths of the faith.

Our aim is to disciple anyone who wants a real relationship with Jesus. We want to help you know Him, gain freedom from past burdens, and know how to read God's Word with understanding.

That way, wherever you go in life, you will remember what a positive, enriching church experience felt like plus have tools to remain strong and victorious in Christ.

“I have come to give life and life to the full.” John 10:10

To help break down barriers between people and Jesus, we go the extra mile to eliminate common sources of hurts, exhaustion, or disillusionment:

  • A simple meeting locale to emphasize that Christ’s Church is people (no fancy setting to become prideful about).

  • Teaching times that invite 2-way exchange (anyone can ask questions).

  • Leaders who give their time as offerings to God (no opening for financial motive).

  • Shared leadership, and no power hierarchies for anyone to grasp for.

  • No business models, no stages, no politics.

  • No manmade traditions placed on equal ground with Biblical truth.

  • No allowance or tolerance for mistreatment or abuse of any kind.

What to expect when you visit:

Our gatherings are simple, thoughtful, and conversational. Questions are welcomed during teaching times. Leaders serve, never perform. Everything points to Jesus.

“Empty rituals don’t matter. What counts is real faith that makes you love people.” Gal. 5:6

Here are Dr. Robin Redick’s testimony and Robin and Claire Redick’s story of starting this faith community.

Present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the Word of truth.” 2 Timothy 2:15

We don’t try to make Scripture fit our agendas or leave out inconvenient parts (eisegesis). Instead, we explore the whole Bible together, in context, learning how to follow and serve Jesus well (exegesis).”

Our beliefs and approach to being Christ’s Church.

God lifts people like eagles, but commercial religion deosn’t.

We agree the Bible is God’s Word, and we agree with what God says about Christ's Church.

Every follower of Jesus is a living sanctuary. A local “church” is any place where even two or three believers gather to help each other grow in Him. God’s kingdom isn’t big buildings or polished programs—it is lives genuinely changed by meeting the real Jesus showing it in how they honor God and love others.

Let’s team up and help each other follow Jesus!
